Less people turned up to the Halloween ball than expected but we’ve a generous bunch of friends and family and raised £262.08 in a few hours!
I wanted to raise money for CRY in memory of Alan Bain and as Halloween and partying were two of his favourite things, holding a Halloween Ball seemed perfect. I didn’t have much time to get things organised so was grateful that Siobhan Cooke-Miller (another of Alan’s very close friends), our friend Aimee Nourse and my partner Erik Wilson offered to help.
We transformed our local golf club in to creepy victorian house and partied all night to an amazing band, Electric Mother, who very generously played for free. Discovering how achievable events like these are, has inspired us to do more. Watch this space…
