Walkers will once again experience a quirkier, more historical route, through the cobbled streets in London along with fantastic views along the river Thames.
The walk will be starting and finishing in Southwark Park, near the Band Stand and is approximately 5.5 miles long.
Walkers will follow the pathway along the river towards the famous Tower Bridge, crossing over to Shad Thames. As the walkers cross over Tower Bridge, they will pass the Tower of London, making their way onto the Thames Pathway towards Millennium Bridge. The route then leads over what was once called ‘the wobbly bridge’ and onto Bankside. Heading back towards Tower Bridge, Southside, the route passes by some of London’s famous landmarks, such as Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, The Golden Hinde Ship, Southwark Cathedral and City Hall.
