Along with the rest of the UK, we have been closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus situation. At a time of such uncertainty and worry, we feel that it is only right that we do not go ahead with the CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk in Southwark Park this year.
The CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk will now be taking place virtually on Sunday 28th June.
We are truly sorry to have to cancel the event as we know so many of our supporters pencil this event into their diaries as soon as possible but we hope you can join us to connect and remember.
If you would like to receive updates about the event please complete the form, and we will email you.
We still plan to enable our CRY families and supporters to connect, remember and help raise awareness as they would normally. On Sunday 28th June the Homepage of the CRY website will be transformed into a digital message wall and will be displayed for 24 hours. We urge supporters to upload their photos and messages of those they support CRY in memory of, and to share the link to the homepage on their social media on Sunday 28th June to show the impact and true incidence of young sudden cardiac death in the UK.
The webpage is now open for submissions, you can send in your photos and/or messages from now until 4pm Sunday 28th June.
If you would like to add a message to the virtual wall, please upload below.
If you still fancy taking on the challenge of the Walk, either by walking the distance or trying to complete as many steps as it would take to walk the route in London, we have a virtual pack to download and help you. The pack includes printable back signs for your T-shirts/backpacks to display a message whilst you take on the challenge, and information about how to set up an online giving page if you wish to also raise funds.
The walk could be done through your local community, or at home. Plan out a 5k route near you or take on laps of your garden or street to complete the distance. Wear your CRY T-shirt if you have one, or download and print out one of back-signs below to pin onto your top. We have a Facebook Frame available to add to your profile picture so if you don’t have a T-shirt, you can still show your support of CRY on the day.
All those who take part will receive a CRY medal once our staff are back in the office.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org after the event if you would like to receive your medal, along with the address to send this to.
