The Route

Getting around London

Main Route

The route is approximately 6.5 miles long which on average takes around 2/2.5 hours and will be signposted along the route; there will also be route marshals along the way to help keep you on track.

Accessible Routes

  • We will have two accessible routes, avoiding steps, one that is slightly shorter and one that is longer due to having to take a diversion as there is no step-free access at Millenium Bridge whilst building works are taking place.
  • The longer accessible route can be downloaded and printed by clicking here. The only section that differs from the non-accessible route is page 4, ‘Section 3 continued’, where you will turn right at The Banker Pub. This section will be signposted.
  • The shorter accessible route can be downloaded and printed by clicking here. This section will be sign posted.

Water will be provided at the start and at a drinks station located along the route Please note: if you are following the shorter accessible route, you will only be able to pick up water at the start in Southwark Park.

The Walk finishes back at Southwark Park in the afternoon and all walkers will be congratulated with a medal as a token of our thanks.

  • You can download and print the route directions by clicking here. Please bring these with you if you would like to follow them.

Message Wall

For a chance to connect and remember

The CRY homepage will, as always, transform into a message wall to raise awareness and show the true incidence of young sudden cardiac death.

Photos and messages can be uploaded leading up to the event, and on the day until 4pm. When you arrive a Southwark Park, look out for the big screen near the bandstand. Not only will it show important information about the day, it will also show all the messages and photos sent in by supporters.

I’m taking part in the CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk to raise awareness of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), remember those who have died from Young Sudden Cardiac Death, and support young people living with heart conditions.

It’s a 6.5-mile walk through central London, followed by a picnic in Southwark Park, on Sunday 22nd June. Registration is open to anyone who wants to get involved.

If you’d like to join me and hundreds of others to walk, connect, and remember, you can sign up here:
