The Cardio Society recently organised a charity hike in Knaresborough to support Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). Our aim was to raise both awareness and funds for this vital cause, which focuses on preventing sudden cardiac deaths in young people.
Despite challenging conditions due to Storm Claudia, participants showed remarkable determination, completing a 6-mile hike through muddy and stormy terrain. The weather made the hike tougher than expected, but everyone pushed through with great spirit, supporting each other along the route and embracing the challenge.
Thanks to the generosity of our participants and supporters, the event raised £620 for CRY. We are proud to have contributed to such an important cause and are grateful to everyone who took part, helping us make a tangible difference in the fight against cardiac risk in the young.
