The annual Jacks’ Day football event took place at Saltford Sports Club on Saturday 21st June.

The senior game between Saltford and Longwell Green old boys was a one sided affair with Longwell comfortably winning the match played in a good spirtit.

Other games featuring teams from Saltford’s juniors section also took place to add to the inclusivity of the day.

A raffle was held, topped by an auction with a high number of high value items to attract the bidders. A barbecue ran for 9 hours to keep the crowd fed through the heat of the day and into the evening when the day concluded with live music.

The winner of the Jack Boulton Memorial award went to 1st Team Manager Andy Martin for his commitment to the club to ensure stability and provide a platform for growing local talent.

The whole day was a magnificent success raising £5,500 for the Jack Boulton Memorial Fund.

We’d like to thank all those people connected with Saltford Sports Club for all their hard work in making the day a great success. Thanks to all the local businesses for their donations and all those people who bought raffle tickets and took part in the auction.

Jack will always be lovingly remembered by friends and supporters at Saltford.
