Joshan Carr

Josh was a charismatic and remarkable 21 year old young man who loved the outdoors, his friends, his family and his dogs. He lived life with joy, laughter and kindness. He taught us all so much about what really matters in life, to live life to the fullest whatever we are doing.
In his second year at Liverpool University, Josh passed away during a camping trip with friends in the Lake District. It was a beautiful, sunny spring day and the boys decided to go for a cold water dip in shallow water in the morning after breakfast. Sadly, cold water shock caused sudden cardiac arrest which took Josh from us far too early.
Whilst we still find it almost impossible to talk about our boy in the past tense, we are determined to honour his memory by raising money for cardiac testing for young people.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) raise awareness of young sudden cardiac death, support those affected, support CRY’s screening programme and fund research and pathology.
