On the 8th June 2024 I tied up my shoelaces and set off on the Lake District Ultra Challenge- 62 miles continuously with the aim of completing it in under 24 hours. With the help of my best friend we completed it in just 19 hours and 35 minutes. A challenge that almost broke both of us! Walking in your own blister juice is not a pleasant experience!!

The support was amazing and I broke down when one other competitor told me that my three children would be so incredibly proud of their mum competing and finishing!

I took part in this competition to raise money for CRY in memory of one of my best friends from childhood- John. He was an incredible man who just knew how to make everyone smile, laugh, and forever saw the best in everything and everyone. We all miss him every day.

For everyone that sponsored me- thank you. It meant the world to me and I was so thankful for every penny- with £1,100 being raised! A figure I never thought I could achieve.
