A massive thanks once again to LB&T for choosing Livs Fundraising page as there chosen charity for a 2nd year in a row.
110 customers attended, including Architects, clients, developers, contractors and sub-contractors, the event was co-sponsored by Michelmersh Brick.
LBT chose a charity partner for the evening and raised money by asking people to donate £1 for every STRIKE that they bowl.
Neil (Livs dad) set up a CRY Memorial fund in his daughters name https://www.c-r-y.org.uk/liv-gow/ after speaking with Ian Shard the MD of LBT last year when asked what charity he would like to donate the funds too.
In the year the fund has raised over 120k for CRY and has already got 4 screening days booked with more planned.
Every week in the UK at least 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. Since its formation in 1995, CRY has been working to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). CRY supports young people diagnosed with potentially life-threatening cardiac conditions and offers bereavement support to families affected by YSCD. CRY promotes and develops heart screening programmes and funds medical research. CRY publishes and distributes medical information written by leading cardiologists for the general public. CRY funds specialist referral, screening and cardiac pathology services at leading UK hospitals.
With the addition of a special LFC Hospitality prize of 2 tickets to a Liverpool Game donated by Cara Brickwork, we managed to raise £1,100 on the evening.
Being part of the Brickability Group, they have the ‘Brickability Charitable Foundation’ which helps causes globally, including tackling such issues as debt and slave labour, and also invests much needed funds into communities around factories of interest.
The Foundation have kindly pledged to double our figure, to give a grand total of £2,200 for the evening, for this very worthy cause.
We would like to thank everyone who donated on the night once again.
