On Sunday 21st May, I ran the Manchester 10k with my sister, Olivia, and my dad, John. This was my first time running a 10k and I am definitely not a natural runner, but after losing one of my closest friends, Ben, so suddenly and tragically in November, we wanted to challenge ourselves. My lovely friend, Danny, also ran in memory of Ben. Together, we have raised almost £2000 for CRY. It was an incredible day and the support from family and friends has been amazing. We want to do as much as we can to keep Ben’s memory alive and this is the first of many fundraising events that we have planned! I think that we would all agree that through such sadness, carrying out this fundraising has brought many of us together. For Ben 💙
