We did it…!!
A team of got around the VERY HOT Manchester 10k, some runners and some non-runners like Livs Dad Neil who did it in 1 hour and 11 minutes – that’s quite respectable for someone who’s never done a 10k before..
Neil said “honestly, it was never about the time for me. It was about stepping out of my comfort zone, running in memory of my beautiful daughter Liv. I’m proud to say I didn’t stop running (even if it was at a slow pace), and I know Liv was right there on my shoulder the whole way, whispering, “You’ve got this Dad.”
I DID IT, LIV – ALL BECAUSE OF YOU
It was also about raising awareness for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) and raising funds so we can screen 100 young people a day at our screening events. We’ve already got two events booked at Wirral Grammer School for Girls – with enough for three more days, that is thanks to everyone’s generosity so far.
A huge thank you to everyone from Cara Group, Willmott Dixon and McCrory Brickwork Ltd for taking part and helping raise funds – we love you all.
Massive thanks to:
• Lily Pringle, Abi Belfield and the team at WD
• Rebecca Sutherland for organising everything at Cara group
• Darren Healey from McCrory’s for asking for his team to join the run in Liv’s name
Up to now we have raised around £6,500… well done all
