A free heart screening for 100 young people aged 14 to 35 run by Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) was held at Mike Goldrick Blinds in Heywood on Sunday 28th July.
As president of Heywood Rotary Club Mike nominated CRY as his chosen charity after a friend’s son, Tom Hardman, died from a sudden cardiac death aged only 21.
Preventing young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families.
