Mother calls for cash to help reach run goal

A mother running the London Marathon to raise cash for a charity which helped her son has renewed her appeal for sponsorship.

Determined Cheryl Jackson decided to tackle the 26-mile event in aid of charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). But she need help to raise at least £1,200 to enable her to take part in the event next month.

Mrs Jackson, 25, of Latchmore Forest Grove, Cowplain, chose to run for CRY because the organisation helped her when her son Jack was diagnosed with a heart defect at birth.
