MP backs heart death campaign

South Swindon MP Julia

Drown has backed a hard-hitting national campaign highlighting the

hundreds of sudden cardiac deaths in young people.

The campaign features

eight people under 38 who died from previously undetected heart conditions

and represent the eight lives lost each week in the UK to the condition.

Cardiac Risk in the Young

unveiled a postcard showing the faces of the eight, which it plans to send

out to supporters in the hope they will pass them on to the local MPs and

encourage them to join an all party Parliamentary group.

New cards will be

launched each month showing victims from different regions.
