BARROW MP Michelle Scrogham has said she supports the call from charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) for more heart screenings for young people
The declaration of support comes after a petition was launched by the charity to get government backing for electrocardiogram (ECG) screenings for 14 year-olds and a public awareness campaign.
The government responded to the petition by saying that they are guided by the UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) which will be holding public consultations on the issue this spring.
