‘No response’ to parents’ calls for routine heart screenings
ITV News spoke to Gill and Steve Ayling, who have worked tirelessly to raise funds for heart screenings for young people, in memory of their son Nathan, who tragically died of Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS) in 2019.
In their interview during a recent CRY screening event, they emphasised the importance of offering screenings to all young people, after a response from the Department of Health caused their campaign to “hit a bump”.
