Prevent problems with a heart test

In the run-up to Christmas we heard of another young person – actress Brittany Murphy – dying suddenly from heart failure.

When are we going to take this seriously and do something about it? Twelve young people die suddenly every week from undiagnosed heart problems and this can be prevented by heart screening.

We have been raising both money and awareness of this through CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and urge people to contact their MP and ask for the NHS to set up automatic heart screening for our youngsters aged between 14 and 35.

CRY has set up a clinic at John Moore's University in Liverpool and you can pay around £35 for a screening by calling CRY Screening Administrator: 01737 363 222 or email
