Sam Keating

Sam passed away unexpectedly on the night of 12th May 2024.
Sam was a fit, healthy and happy 30 year old with a one year old son and a daughter on the way. Happily married to his childhood sweetheart, Sam created a life that he loved. A true family man, he was surrounded by close family and friends, living in a family home he was extremely proud of.
Sam was a loyal, loving, caring, funny and protective husband, father, son, big brother, grandson and friend, who loved everyone close to him so deeply, loyally and fiercely. He was an avid gamer, Bournemouth football team fan and Star Wars lover. Anyone who was part of Sam’s life knew what it felt like to feel his love, a love like no other, a loyalty like no other and truly a safe space. Sam was and is so loved by us all, to know Sam and be part of his life was a true gift.
Sam had only began to experience fatherhood on 6th June 2022, when his son was born. Sam was a doting father, and the love he had for his little boy was like no other. He found out that he and his wife were having a little girl just a week before he passed away. He was over the moon to be having a daughter, his family would soon be complete.
Sam’s unexpected passing on 12th May 2024 robbed him of a future with his children and his wife. A future that Sam would want more than anything to be a part of. Please help us to prevent this tragedy from happening to a parent, spouse, child, sibling, friend or grandchild in the future. In order to do so, please donate via the link below to enable us to fund and host a Heart Screening Day local to Sam’s home. This screening day could detect an undiagnosed heart condition in an individual aged 14-35, saving their lives and saving their family from the despair that we, as Sam’s family, feel.
Thank you.
This memorial fund has been set up by the family to help CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death through supporting CRY’s screening programme.
The aim is to fund the screening of young people within the local community.’
