The campaign aims to raise awareness and funds for CRY’s screening programme Test My Heart and promote CRY’s message that every young person should have the choice to have their heart screened.
Test My Heart is a free screening service fundraised by CRY families aiming to allow all young people the choice to have their heart screened.
12 people aged 35 and under die suddenly from heart conditions in the UK every week.
1 in 300 people will have potentially life-threatening heart condition.
Since 1995, CRY has been working to reduce the incidence of Young Sudden Cardiac Death. CRY has now screened over 300,000 young people in the UK.
There are currently over 100,000 young people on our interest list to have their heart screened.
£68 – an ECG test for 1 person
£308 – an ECG, follow up echocardiogram and a consultation for 1 person
£800 – referral of one heart to the CRY Centre for Cardiac Pathology for expert evaluation.
CRY believes that all young people should have the choice to have their hearts screened, but we cannot do this without your support. This Raising Awareness Week support CRY by fundraising, donating and raising awareness on social media and in your local communities.
