On March 8th, Sean Billington will be starting his epic 1,172 mile walk from Lands End to John O Groats in memory of my son and his very good friend since school days, Mark Hudson who on November 5th 2012 went to bed and never woke up.
It will take Sean 90 days to complete this walk which includes climbing Ben Nevis. On Day 29, April 1st, he will be walking from Chipping Camden to Stratford upon Avon arriving at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre mid afternoon. There will be a group of family and friends walking with him for the last part. Some will be joining him at Long Marston (approx 5 miles), some at Milcote (3 miles) and others at the end of the Greenway which is just a mile walk along the river side.
If any CRY family members or friends would like to join us, you would be very welcome. We anticipate also having a table with information on CRY. As this is an open area by the theatre and next to the river, it’s a very popular place for people to come and sit a while so we hope to be able to make more people aware of what CRY offers, especially the screening and who knows, if we can help just one more person, it will be one family that won’t have to deal with the grief and a life that’s torn apart that we all know too well.
So if you live locally (or even if you don’t), please come and support us, we would love to meet you. Let’s make an impact and support Sean too in his massive undertaking.
