The family of a Cannock Wood man who died suddenly in his sleep are preparing to head to the capital to embark on a charity walk in his memory.
Former Chase Terrace High School pupil Jonathan Hooper was just 30 years old when he died in November 2004. The cause was found to be sudden cardiac death.
His sister Stephanie, aged 25, a teacher at Pheasey Park Farm Primary School in Walsall, will join hundreds of walkers making their way from Victoria Embankment to London Bridge on July 26 in aid of the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). She will be joined by other family members for the walk in memory of Jonathan, who worked at the Star pub in Burntwood.
Miss Hooper, of Deanslade Drive, Lichfield, said: "The walk is just a really nice way for us to all be together and remembers Jonathan."
