Growing up, Sol was always my best friend, and I am very grateful that I have so many amazing memories wit him, all of which I will treasure forever. But my favourite memories are always the simplest ones, like swimming in the river together in the summer and jumping in off the rocks, I would force him to play silly water games with me. Walking the dogs down by the canal, playing ball in the field with the dogs. One of my funniest memories is when we were walking up a mountain and he walked so fast to the top that he was at the top waiting for us.
But what sticks out most about Sol was his passion for music, he had the ability to learn a song on his guitar extremely quickly and my parents would often give him requests of songs to learn to play. I would often hear him practicing late into the night, now, I often find myself going back to listen to his music: One song that I always remember him playing was “Seek & Destroy” by Metallica.
Everyone needs someone like Sol in their life.
