This was the second year that local heart screenings had been funded by the Swimarathon. For the two years before that, the Lions raised enough cash from the swimming event to supply life-saving defibrillators machines to local schools. St Anne’s Lions have raised over £50,000 over the last four years thanks to their swimmers, sponsers and volunteers.
