CRY Update Magazine Issue 88

Read Update 88 here! Issue 88 of the CRY Update magazine covers all news, events and fundraising from May to August 2022. During the four-month period, we screened over 7,000 people with 6,972 being screened at family screening events. Furthermore, CRY’s Research Team was recognised at the British Cardiac Society with some members even receiving awards.


A busy weekend in June.

On Saturday the 11th of June we staged our annual 7 a side football tournament for the Dan Hughes memorial shield. 8 local teams entered the competition and its Congratulations to Winners Wood Lane F.C. who beat Audley 1-0 in the final. Dan Hughes cricket and Family fun day

July 17th was the date for the annual Dan Hughes cricket and Family fun day which this year was held at Audley Cricket Club. The cricket started at 9:30 and ran until 6pm when it concluded with hosts Audley beating near neighbours Betley in a keenly contested final. Local Radio station Hitmix 107.5 were in attendance


Meeting the Prime Minister

On June the 3rd this year, after 6 months of planning, we held the first Dan Hughes memorial golf day at Wolstanton Golf Club, Newcastle Under Lyme. 20 teams of 4 players tee’d off as the claxon sounded at 1pm.
