On the 24th September we had a fundraising event at Tesco Lea Valley in memory of our son Nadeesha Jayawardena. The team at the store had helped in various ways to ensure the day went as smoothly as possible. All of the staff working in the store were dressed in red and were wearing red heart badges to signify their support of CRY.

Managers Mark and Alex dressed up as Minions (from the film Despicable Me). They provided a lot of entertainment for the children, and even some adults, that were visiting the store on the day. Also Laura, the Personnel Manager and Sue Michael provided face painting for the kids to show their support.

We are eternally grateful to all the staff at Tesco Lea Valley for helping us organise this event. We hope we were successful in raising more awareness in sudden deaths that occur in the young.
