On Saturday 27th July 2013 friends and family played in the annual Ben Simpson Open golf day to celebrate Ben’s life. A wonderful £1,616.79 was raised.
“The friends and family of Ben Simpson gathered together on Saturday 27th July to remember Ben and raise some extra funds for CRY in their annual charity golf day. Despite the predicted thunderstorms competitors turned out in their droves to remember Ben and make the day a great success. Fortunately the rain held off for the majority of the day and allowed the golfers to get round without getting too wet! Congratulations to Mr Ian Ritchie who won the day with an impressive score of 67, however, the real winner of the day was CRY, for whom we managed to raise £1,616.79. Thank you to all.”
