The Rotork Red Socks battled the wind and rain to complete the Sarsen Trail, a 26 mile walk between Avebury stones and Stonehenge, to raise money for CRY in memory of Jack.
There were 16 team members – June Boulton, Liz Roberts, Helen and Maddy Ollis, Gill Curtin, Tracey Savery, Richard Knight, Dave Pegg, Andy and Chrissy Moore, Liz Tyler, Dawn Billett, Donna and Kevin Short, Shelley Pike and Robert Knoyle – and we all finished.
The team suffered sore muscles and blistered feet but it was worth it. A big thank you to Rotork who gave a generous donation and to the kit sponsors AKL Bearings and Precision Profiles, Rotork customers, family and friends who all gave so generously.
June Boulton
The Rotork Red Socks have so far raised £5375 for CRY and donations can still be made at http://www.justgiving.com/sarsenteam
