On Friday 17th May, Andy Wilsher held a Tribute night at the Witham Public Hall in memory of Thomas Fleetwood. He performed numbers from Michael Buble and Robbie Williams and the night raised a wonderful ยฃ2,776 for the charity.
“On Friday we held a Michael Buble & Robbie Williams tribute night. 230 guest attended and the night was a huge success!!! We thought we would hold a raffle inbetween so I started collecting prizes etc…
We ended up getting some amazing prizes including hotel stays, Family Photo-shoots, Facials, Golf days etc… we also got some signed photoโs from This Morning, Celebrity Juice, signed footballs and photoโs etc… so we decide to do a silent auction for some of the prizes. In the end we had 50 raffle prizes and 18 auction prizes!
We raised ยฃ915 on the Raffle and ยฃ473 on the auction, ยฃ1388 total.
Then I found out that Barclays will double your Raffle money if they sell the tickets, so we asked 4 Barclays employees to come along and sell tickets for us, they sold all the tickets and now said they will double the ยฃ915 which will bring the total to ยฃ2,776. Every single penny from the raffle & auction went to C.R.Y. because Elise Fleetwood is a close friend of Andyโs sister.
Thomas Fleetwood, Eliseโs husband sadly passed away unexpectedly on 18th October 2011 aged 28 – the coroner could only explain his death as a result of Sudden Adult Death syndrome.”
