Two-day cardiac screening event to be held in the Isle of Wight in memory of Graeme Blenkinsop

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) will be returning to the Isle of Wight in July to offer two days of free cardiac testing for local young individuals. Thanks to funds raised in memory of Graeme Blenkinsop, up to 200 young people from the Isle of Wight and beyond will have the opportunity to be screened for life-threatening heart conditions.

The screening event will be held at Cowes Enterprise College on July 29 and 30. Limited spots are still available for individuals aged 14 to 35, and interested participants can secure their place by visiting www.testmyheart.org.uk.

Graeme Blenkinsop, who passed away from a cardiac issue at 21 years old in 2006, inspired his family to raise funds in his memory. They have raised an impressive £45,000 to date. Through Graeme’s Memorial Fund with CRY, three previous screening days have been funded, benefiting nearly 300 young individuals. The funds also support CRY’s Research Programme and core services.
