A new pathology lab offering hope to many bereaved families who have lost a child or loved one through sudden cardiac death opened at the Royal Brompton Hospital on Friday (7 March 2008). Funded by the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), the new fast-track pathology service will turnaround results within approximately two weeks providing answers to grieving families who would have previously had to wait up to 18 months.
