University Flatmates Take on Bath Half Marathon in Memory of Anthony Evans

Bristol Live, 3rd February 2022

“We were all put in a flat together in our first year of uni. There were 16 of us so it was quite a big flat and we had never met each other before,” said Olivia Bolton, one of Anthony’s flat mates. “Anthony was the first person I met and I remember he made me laugh and feel really comfortable. Out of all the people in the flat, he was the one person who everyone had a connection with and he was one of the best friends we could ever have.”

The 19 year old student collapsed outside his flat on the 21st of February 2021. He had suffered a sudden heart attack and passed away a few days later. Now, Olivia and 13 of his other flat mates are preparing to take on the Bath Half Marathon in his memory in order to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) so that other young people like Anthony can be screened for cardiac conditions and get the help they need. They hope to raise £4,000 in donations through a crowdfunder.
