Virtual Challenge Ideas

Choose one, or multiple challenges from the list below, and let us know what you’re doing on social media. To make sure we see it, use hashtags: #2020CRYChallenge #RaisingAwareness

Read 20 Pages for 20 Days

A great challenge for all the family – Take your current read, or choose a new book and read 20 pages every day, for 20 days. Share what books you’re reading, give them a mini review and share your progress with friends and family. If you are staying at home with family, choose a book together and take turns reading it out loud. Staying home alone? Read to your friends over video chat!

20 Day Treasure Hunt

Find 1 red item a day for the duration of the challenge.. do you have 20 red items in your home or garden? Get searching and share your finds with us on social media, maybe you’ll find some long forgotten treasure (or at least an old jumper you forgot you had!)

20 Outfifts for 20 Days

Choose a new outfit each day for 20 days, and by the end of the challenge you’ll have a fashion montage on your hands! Get some music on, dance around, and wear all the outfits you’ve been saving for a special occasion. This challenge is also a great way to keep up with your normal morning routine while working, or spending more time at home.

20 Keepie Uppies for 20 Days

A great way to keep moving during time at home, and great for rainy days when your walks might be shorter. Do 20 keepie uppies ever day for twenty days, and if you can’t quite get 20 yet, challenge yourself to master it in the time frame. Get family and friend involved, and challenge them too!

20 Hula Hoops for CRY

A lot of us have discarded workout equptment at home, do you have a hula hoop? Hula for 20 seconds each day for 20 days – get a quick core workout in and learn a new skill! Show off your hula moves on social media, challenge your friends and family, and share your skills with CRY! Maybe you don’t have a hula hoop, but dust off those steppers, thigh masters and workout bands and set your own challenges. The more inventive, the better.

20 Free Workout Videos for 20 Days

YouTube is filled with free workouts of all varities, from yoga to HIIT. Do a few searches, find something you enjoy, and commit to 20 days of working out for CRY. Share your exercise recommendations with friends and family and encourage them to join in from their homes.

Learn a New Word everyday for 20 Days

Improve your vocabulary, and have fun discovering new words and their meanings. Try using each new word in a sentence that day and share your words with us on socials!

Keep a Diary for 20 Days

These are unprecedented times, and keeping a diary for 20 days is a great way to reflect and help you make sense of your thoughts and feelings during this time. It is also a great way to keep your very own history book to read in years to come!

The Head Shave

Are you brave enough to get those clippers out the back of cupboard and shave your hair for CRY? The gauntlet has been thrown! This is fantastic way to raise awareness of CRY’s vital work, and bring family & friends together online while social distancing.

Set up a Facebook Event page, let everyone know what you’re doing and then Livestream your haircut as a great way to garner donations from your audience.

We will be posting before and afters of our fabulous #CharityHeroes who take on this challenge!
