Vital heart machine in memory of Julian

Months

of fund-raising in memory of local man Julian

Wort, who died suddenly in March last year at the age of 28, by family, friends

and colleagues has raised over £5300 –

enough to fund an ECG machine for the Frome Medical Practice.

Julian died from a rare heart condition known as

hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy and all the fund-raising in Frome has

been supported by the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).

parents Shirley and David Wort and his long term partner Claire Skyner. Shirley Wort, Julian’s mother said,” We would like to thank everyone who has

supported us during the last 16 months. Hopefully we can continue to raise

money to enable an ongoing ECG programme and mobile screening throughout the UK.
