CRY’s volunteer Bereavement Supporters have all been personally affected by a young sudden cardiac death. They have completed a two-year counselling skills and theory course with CRY so that they can offer peer-to-peer telephone bereavement support to others. We greatly appreciate the incredible support and commitment offered by CRY’s volunteer Bereavement Supporters. Many of those who undertake CRY’s counselling course have received telephone bereavement support from CRY in the past.
CRY’s counselling course is exclusively for bereaved mums, dads, siblings and partners who have lost a young person (aged 35 and under) to a young sudden cardiac death. If you would like to register your interest in volunteering as a CRY Bereavement Supporter, please complete the form below.
We begin new courses every 1-2 years. If you register your interest, we will keep a record of this, and we may contact you in the future with further information.
Please be assured that registering your interest does not commit you and there is never any expectation from CRY if you were to feel that the course would not be right for you, if we were to contact you about this in the future.
As spaces on the CRY counselling course are limited, there are many factors which CRY must consider in allocating the places, primarily the demand on our support services. We greatly appreciate your interest in supporting CRY families.
