I've had my heart screened by CRY

In 2024 we launched our ‘I’ve had my heart screened by CRY’ campaign following our screening interest list receiving a record high of 100,000 people.

The campaign’s aim was to raise awareness and funds for CRY’s screening programme Test My Heart and promote CRY’s message that every young person should have the choice to have their heart screened.

Thank you to our incredible families, donors, and supporters who make this lifesaving work possible.

Why Do I Support CRY

In Heart Month 2024, CRY reintroduced the ‘Why Do I Support CRY?’ campaign to highlight the personal reasons behind supporting CRY.

We invited our supporters to share their reasons, allowing us to showcase what CRY means to so many on our social media platforms. The campaign was a resounding success for the second consecutive year, with an overwhelming number of responses, many of which shared the profound impact of Young Sudden Cardiac Death (YSCD) on their lives.

To read all the responses from this campaign, please click below.

12 A Week Campaign

We invited our supporters to help to raise awareness of the incidence of young sudden cardiac death and to raise vital funds for CRY’s cardiac screening programme for young people by  submitting a photo of the person they support CRY in memory of, their name and age when they died. We then used this information to create a personalised graphic, which was sent to the supporter for use on social media.

Hundreds took part in this impactful campaign, spreading crucial awareness to new audiences across social media platforms.

Thank you to everyone who took part in support of CRY.

EAPC Sports Cardiology Course 2024

3 September 2024: almost 300 delegates attended an intense, informative and interactive event, held in Central London, sharing the very latest developments in sports cardiology as part of the EAPC Sports Cardiology Course. This was the 10th anniversary of the EAPC course which was first held in London back in 2005. For the first time EAPC, an association of the ESC, joint forces with the American College of Cardiology Foundation to bring a truly international flavour to the course. In a change to the annual research calendar, the leading charity, Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) took the decision to partner with EAPC and Cleveland Clinic London and co-host its International Conference (which has been held in late October for the past 16 years), immediately following on from the 2024 European Society of Cardiology (ESC) congress, which was also being held in London. The format delivered a ‘packed programme’ of presentations on key aspects of sports Cardiology practice, discussion and interactive sessions.
