Ride Across Britain 2021 for CRY

I was pleased to be able to raise £749.15 for CRY as part of my charitable effort through cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats. I participated in Ride Across Britain, a 9 day cycling challenge of 970 miles. It was a thoroughly enjoyable (but gruelling) experience. I hope this fundraising goes someway to support the

Europe’s Toughest Mudder, done.

It was delayed by more than a year due to the pandemic. It was then delayed by half an hour on the night due to uncooperative cows on the course. At 8.30pm on Saturday evening Europe’s Toughest Mudder finally got underway and so began a night and morning of adventure. Before I get into the race

Lands End to John O’Groats for Joe

On September 4th 2021 I began my journey from Lands End to John O’Groats. The ride took 9 days and totals just over 980 miles, meaning I averaged over 100 miles a day. I found the kind messages and support from friends and family back home really supportive and a big motivator to keep on pedalling,

Virtual My Walk in memory of Alex Reid

Re: IW/36729. I missed the ‘Heart of Durham’ walk this year so I took advantage of the Virtual ‘My Walk’ and included members of my walking group, Bury Walking Group, as it was my scheduled walk as leader. Seventeen members walked on the 23rd September 2021 who were all aware the walk was in memory of
