Birkett Long targeted under-35s in its Make a Will month during March to raise funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), the charity it supported throughout 2016 in memory of former colleague Charlotte Adams. On September 3rd 2016 we lost our beautiful family Elise she was only 24, family and amazing friends took part in a gruelling challenge which is normally done by the parachute regiment we raised an amazing £5,000 in honour of Elise and to raise awareness for CRY. Helen Gaythorpe, Rory’s Aunt, prepared and donated all the food for a garden party at Rory’s Return at which we raised £302 for Rory’s foundation at CRY. Rory’s mum and dad Chris and Anne were presented with a cheque for £1,067 by Wayne Mills, the father of Rory’s best mate Dan. Wayne raised this money by completing a 100 cycle race in support of Rory’s Foundation at CRY. We are so very grateful for such massive support. Chris and Anne Embling

Louise Fox celebrated her one year anniversary of her exercise class by holding a special charity class on Thursday 29th June with funds going to the Jordan Burndred fund. There was a great turnout and we all had lots of fun with £180 raised on the day. Nicola Burndred
