Before the Day
The Heart of London Bridges Walk brings CRY supporters together to connect and remember. The day involves a 6.5 mile walk around London taking you past landmarks such as the Tower of London, St Paul’s Cathedral and Shakespeare’s Globe. Following the walk, we encourage you to join us back at Southwark Park for a family picnic. This day is a very special event where you can connect with others who have experienced a similar loss.
Once you have signed up, there is nothing more you need to do except save your tickets ready for the day! Why not encourage your friends and family to join you on the day?
Whilst we encourage you to register before the event, there is an option to register on the day for the cost of £15.
Online registration closes the on the 16th June. However, you can still register on the day.
There is a fee of £12 for Adults to cover the cost of running Bridges Walk, the T-shirts which you receive before the event and a medal which you will receive after completing the walk. Children aged 16 and under can take part for free.
Our fundraising team are currently posting the T-shirts, expect it in the post soon.
If your T-shirt doesn’t fit, contact our fundraising team at events@c-r-y.org.uk and they will exchange it for you. Alternatively we will have spare T-shirts on the day.

We welcome everyone to join us on the day. There is a fully accessible, step-free route available. When registering, there will be an option to select a ‘step free’ route, select this option so that we are aware you require the accessible route.
No, definitely not. This event is for anyone who supports CRY, whether you are walking in memory of someone or walking for another reason.

Fundraising
It is not a fundraising event so you do not need to get people to sponsor you, however if you would like to set up a fundraising page for this event, you can do so at: CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk 2024 – JustGiving
The CRY Heart of London Bridges Walk is a core fundraising event for CRY and all money raised will go towards our core funding initiatives. It is, therefore, not possible to allocate sponsorship raised using CRY places, to ring-fenced memorial funds.
On the Day
Arrival is from 9am. The walk commences at 11am and takes approximately 2/2.5 hours to complete. The event will conclude at 5pm
There is no obligation to complete the walk within a certain time frame and we encourage all supporters to take it at their own pace. Some attendees choose to complete the walk all in one go whilst many others stop frequently throughout the walk. You are also very welcome to make the walk shorter if you would prefer and not stick to the official route. There is also no requirement for you to actually complete the walk, we often have supporters who attend Bridges Walk who choose to stay at Southwark Park.
As part of the CRY family picnic there will be food and drink stalls available for you to purchase from throughout the afternoon.
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food with you. However, please note we are unable to store these items for you.
Absolutely! You are very welcome to bring your dog along with you for the day.
