The Great North Run is the world’s biggest half marathon, with more than 57,000 runners pounding the streets of Newcastle. The 13.1-mile course runs from Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields and attracts many world-class athletes. The route takes runners through the city centre towards the River Tyne where thousands will cross over the iconic Tyne Bridge. If you’re lucky, you might get a glimpse of the Red Arrows passing overhead.
Please note: The Great North Run is a core fundraising event for CRY and all money raised, from a CRY place, will go towards our core funding initiatives. It is, therefore, not possible to allocate sponsorship raised using CRY places, to ring fenced memorial funds.
If you have your own place in the event and would like to fundraise for CRY, please emails events@c-r-y.org.uk
