Josephine (Jo) Chatterton

On the 11th May 1999, our daughter Josephine had recently received news that she had achieved a Master Degree in Music at Huddersfield University setting her on course to enter a career in Music Therapy, a career she had always wanted to achieve. Just after nine o’clock in the morning she decided to go the local gym in Huddersfield and stopped off on the way to Morrisons to pick up some groceries. At approximately 9.25am in Morrisons Jo collapsed and died a Sudden Death. She was 24
As a family we have lived, and still live, with the devastation of suddenly losing Jo. The sudden loss of a young person devastates families, coming out of the blue with no apparent prior medical warning. Young peoples lives taken as they look to find their way in the world and follow their dreams.
We now want to try and alleviate other families devastation at losing a young person to a sudden Cardiac Death by raising funds to pay for a CRY Screening event in North East Lincolnshire for young people 14 -35.
All donations will go towards our target of £6,800 which will provide 100 young people from North East Lincolnshire with an opportunity of attending the CRY heart screening event in Grimsby being run by the CRY medical team in 2026.
Thank you for your support
