To all Team CRY runners taking part in the London Marathon 2025 this Sunday, Please read - important information contained below

Running show – registration for the TCS London Marathon
You’ll need to collect your Event Pack from the TCS London Marathon Running Show at ExCeL London before the registration deadline of 17:30 on Saturday 26 April. The email containing the Participant Event Guide also includes the unique QR code that you need to collect your Event Pack. You’ll also find all your important arrival information for Marathon Day in that email, including your start wave and time, so please read it carefully and keep it safe.

Your Event Pack will include: your bib, with timing chip attached, and safety pins to fix it to your top, an official kitbag with a sticker matching your bib number and allocated baggage lorry. You must bring photographic identification, such as a passport or driving licence, with you when you collect your Event Pack.

Unable to collect in person? If you’re not able to collect your Event Pack in person, you can nominate someone to collect it for you. They’ll need to bring your QR code and a letter, written and signed by you, authorising them – by name – to collect your pack, along with a clear photocopy of your ID showing your name and your signature, as well as their own suitable photo ID. Please note: an individual can only collect one other person’s Event Pack in addition to their own.

Opening times – 10:00-20:00 Wednesday 23 April 10:00-20:00 Thursday 24 April 10:00-20:00 Friday 25 April 08:30-17:30 Saturday 26 April

Avoid Busy Times – Friday and Saturday will be incredibly busy, with queues of up to an hour. If you live in or around London, try to collect on Wednesday or Thursday.

Cheering Stations On Route

Mile 12: is located on Tooley Street/ Jamaica Road which will be manned by CRY Staff member, Mrs Jo Hudson, along with other CRY volunteers from 9:30am. Jo will have the items to set up the cheer point so look out for the CRY teardrop flag, T-shirts and the rest of the cheer squad! It would be great if your supporters could bring their cheer items with them too. Click here to view a course map. If your supporters are not able to find the cheer point, please contact Jo on 07709 487 959 who will do her best to help.

Mile 23: is located on Lower Thames Street and will be manned by CRY Staff member, Miss Megan Alford, along with other CRY volunteers from 11:00am. As with Mile 12, Megan will have the items to set up the cheer point so look out for the CRY teardrop flag, T-shirts and the rest of the cheer squad! It would be great if your supporters could bring their cheer items with them too. Click here to view a course map. If you are not able to find the cheer point, please contact Megan on 07525 106 514.

Post-Race Facilities

Thank you to those that have let me know about whether or not they intend to come back and see us after the race. I wanted to send a reminder about the fact we will be hosting our post-race reception at the Sofitel London St James – 6 Waterloo Place, London SW1Y 4AN. We would love you to come and meet us after the marathon if you feel able to. We will have massage (kindly provided by massage therapists free of charge) and shower facilities available for you to use at the venue.

*New for this year!*

For the first time, we will be providing our runners with a bowl of pasta of either bolognese or napolitana and a complimentary drink on arrival. Your supporters will be able to purchase drinks from the bar.

If you have a family history of Young Sudden Cardiac Death and/or Cardiac Condition, we would require you to sign a statement to say you have discussed your wish to run with your cardiologist, and you have both come to an agreement that it is ok for you to run the London Marathon. If you haven’t yet been screened, we can provide you with information regarding this.

We welcome ballot place runners and offer the same support, fundraising materials and running vest or Techno T-shirt as our charity place runners receive. If you have any family or friends who have a ballot place and wish to run for CRY, please email events@c-r-y.org.uk or call 01737 363222. Money raised by a ballot place runner can be allocated to specific projects that a ringfenced memorial fund has set a target for.
