Dronfield Floral Art Group

At a floral art demonstration in Dronfield on 6th November 2014 Elaine was given over £200 – the proceeds of the raffle. In her thank you talk she gave a short explanation about the work of CRY and many useful contacts were made.


WI soup and Sweet Lunch

On 19th November 2014 over seventy members of The Rutland Group of WI’s attended a soup and sweet lunch organised by Dronfield WI.  As  Dronfield WI’s Charity of the Year Elaine received the proceeds of the raffle which amounted to over £200.  Trustees of The Derbyshire Federation also made a generous donation of £100. CRY Parliamentry Reception november 2014

Ian and Elaine were honoured to have been invited to the CRY Parliamentary Reception held at the House of Commons on 26th November 2014.  We were so pleased that our MP Natascha Engel had decided to join the All Party Parliamentary Group and we spent a lovely day with her at Westminster and are so grateful


CRY Christmas Tree at the Freemasons Tapton Hall Sheffield

Every Christmas nearly thirty charities each decorate a Christmas tree in Tapton Masonic Hall in Sheffield. Over the Christmas and New Year period it is estimated that over 4000 visitors see the trees.  The tree for CRY was decorated with hearts made by Elaine’s friends from various Dronfield ladies’ groups. Dronfield Singers at Sainsbury's

On 13th December 2014 Elaine and The Dronfield Singers sang carols outside our local branch of Sainsbury’s and the collection was donated to CRY.


Miners' Arms Charity

In January 2015 Elaine received a cheque from Roy Cutts at the Miners’ Arms.  This was reported in the Dronfield Eye as follows.   A big well done to Roy Cutts and Dronfield Woodhouse’s Miners’ Arms Charity Circle members who continue to raise thousands of pounds for local charities.  The result of fundraising during 2014 were


Music in Sheffield's Botanical Gardens July 2014

First Screening in Dronfield 12th July 2014

On 12th July 2014 the first screening in Dronfield took place at Gosforth Fields Playing Fields Association premises.
