The day went really well, the weather was kind to us as it’s really exposed and open out on the Yorkshire Dales. Two teams and one minute of applause marked the start of a football match played to honour James who passed away in his sleep on the 14th March 2016. For those who like statistics: I finished in 4 hours 10 minutes. I did the first 10k in 53 minutes exactly (it was partly downhill) and the half marathon in 1 hour 55 mins.
