Swaledale Marathon in memory of Richard Credland

I have always wondered if I could complete a marathon but never quite got round to entering one! after seeing many photos of people who do so and raise funds for CRY into the bargain I decided it was now or never. I got organised and found an event up here in Yorkshire where it is

Hemsworth Market 40s day in memory of Rory Embling

Here are photos from Hemsworth Market 40s day where we had a stall raising money for CRY. Francesca sold her flowers and a few other items. We dressed in 40s outfits and had our hair done in 40s styles. We raised £130.40 on the stall. We were also presented with a cheque from Hemsworth council for £250

Sponsored Walk in memory of Jamie Loncaster

The walk went really well despite the poor weather. It rained for about 60% of the walk so lots of wet feet and blisters! Our team of walkers managed to walk the full 11.5 miles in just under 4.5 hours, which we’re told is pretty good going for non-hikers. The total currently stands at around £1400 which

Great Manchester 10k Run in memory of Robert Heyes

I ran the Manchester 10k in memory of Robert Heyes, who suffered a cardiac arrest and died last year. Robert was a good friend to me when I lived in Manchester a few years ago, I always found his company easy, and his character warm, witty and caring. When I heard about the fundraising for CRY

Five swims in five countries for a five star son in memory of James McGowan

3rd July 2016, Dorset I completed my first of five swims yesterday for “Five Swims in Five Countries for a Five Star Son” in Dorset. The weather was better than forecast with the sea temperature 13–14 degrees. As I was an award winner (the oldest lady in the 3.8 km) I was able to say a
