Asda Foundation York 10k in memory of Robert Heyes

I ran the Asda Foundation York 10k for CRY in memory of Robert Heyes who was my friend and also a work acquaintance too. We shared similar interests in technology and I will always remember his warmth and rather witty sense of humour. One evening after Robert’s passing, and to the surprise of my wife I

Yorkshire 10k series in memory of Andrew Hirst

On Monday 24th August, life took a very unexpected turn when my younger brother, Drew, died suddenly. He had been a healthy 23 year old lad who had recently lost a fair amount of weight and who loved to go on long bike rides 3/4 times a week. It was very confusing as to why Drew

Salford Triathlon – Matthew Crawford

A few funny stories on the day. For example, the lad on the right, Stu, finished dead last out of 187 male sprint triathletes who finished 🙂 – at least he completed it and it was for a good cause. The lad in the middle, Darren, was doing the bike part of the triathlon through Salford

“Team Phoenix” Cotswold 24 hour relay

The 24 hours relay was amazing! We all managed 3 laps each of the 5.5 mile course and covered 16.5 miles each. Between the 16 of us we covered 275 miles and always had two people on the course all the time! The night shifts were tough but well worth it! Katie Harvey

Race to the Stones – Emma Ostle

The Race To The Stones 100k last weekend went really well. Leaving the house at 5.30am Saturday morning was tough, knowing that the start wasn’t until 8am. The morning was grey and gloomy, not good to lift the spirits for the challenge ahead. Before I knew it I was there, registration done and start gun fired!
