Edinburgh Marathon in memory of Matt Cragg

For those who like statistics: I finished in 4 hours 10 minutes. I did the first 10k in 53 minutes exactly (it was partly downhill) and the half marathon in 1 hour 55 mins. Then everything started stiffening up and I lost time having to stop to stretch. The last 10k was painfully slow (literally!). It

Binfield Football Club (near Bracknell, Berkshire) has CRY as one of its charity sponsors and the Under 10s Vikings team has the pleasure in having the CRY logo proudly on its shirt. Within the East Berks Football Association of junior football, it is the only one we are aware of that carries a charity rather than

Cheshire Sprint Triathlon in memory of Dan Hughes

We all completed Cheshire Sprint Triathlon on Sunday. It was a big challenge for all of us but we did it and for such a great cause too. I personally had lots of comments on my T-shirt, the word is definitely spreading. Originally we targeted to raise £500 which would go into the Daniel Hughes Memorial

Tough Mudder by Phyllis Gaskin

I went to a ladies fundraising night last year for CRY with a few friends. This was a charity I knew very little about, but after the evening, knew a great deal more. I do a lot of challenges throughout the year and said on that night that I would raise a few pounds for CRY

Hackney Half Marathon – Rachel O'Hara

I am not a particularly sporty person, but decided that the Hackney Half would be a great opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause and to increase my fitness/challenge myself. I was incredibly nervous before but nearly 13,000 people turned up to run and the atmosphere was fantastic. It was so heartwarming to see how

The Golden Ball in memory of Harry Faulkner

On Saturday 19th December 2015, five very special friends put on a ball in memory of our son Harry. 13 months previous to this date over a coffee I was asked how I felt about them organising an event to raise money and awareness for CRY. My reply was how honoured I would feel that they
