We planned the fundraising starting from November. We arranged a full day and night darts tournament with a local youth team. Money was raised by entrance fee/raffle and catering. Donations for the raffle were from local companies and darts players. We continued a second raffle in the Hanley Branch which raised more funds.

On 12th May 2015 our son Bradley Olde, who was just 20 at the time, went out jogging and collapsed with a cardiac arrest. He had stopped breathing for approximately 8 minutes when a neighbour passed who knew first aid procedure and applied CPR until an air ambulance arrived which took Brad directly to Plymouth Hospital.
We ran the Bolton 10k in memory of my partner, Andrew Patterson, who died from a sudden cardiac arrest last October and are just hoping to keep his memory alive whilst raising money and awareness for CRY. We completed the “Bear Grylls Survival Race”, a five kilometre obstacle race, in memory of our friend Jannik Lam. On 19th November 2014 over seventy members of The Rutland Group of WI’s attended a soup and sweet lunch organised by Dronfield WI. As Dronfield WI’s Charity of the Year Elaine received the proceeds of the raffle which amounted to over £200. Trustees of The Derbyshire Federation also made a generous donation of £100. An article
