CRY Update Magazine Issue 97

The Red Bow Ball raises £19,000 for CRY

Murder Mystery Fundraising Dinner in Memory of David Hill

Family, friends and teammates of Scottish Parliament RFC player David Hill are set to host a Memorial match and dinner to celebrate his life and raise funds for CRY in his memory.

IN just over two months’ time, the David Hill Memorial Match and dinner will celebrate the life of the rugby loving, 30-year old Holyrood parliamentary staffer, who passed away last March while playing rugby for Scottish Parliament RFC against Dáil and Seanad RFC (representing the Irish Parliament) at Donnybrook in Dublin due to a previously undiagnosed cardiac condition.


3 Peaks for David

On March 19th 2022, my older and much-loved brother David passed away at the young age of just 30, during the Parliamentary Six Nations fixture between the SPRFC (Scottish Parliamentary Rugby Football Club) and the Dàil and Seanad RFC at Donnybrook Stadium, Dublin. Why Do I Support CRY? During Heart Month 2024, CRY launched ‘why do I support CRY?’. The campaign aims to personify and tell the stories behind CRY. We are asking our supporters to send in their reasons for supporting CRY so we can share them on our social media what CRY means to so many.


A Day for David
